Review Draft Criteria
Meeting with Staff - put out a call to people who were around to revise/create Criteria in their subject/domain
- Global Studies still in draft form, looked at several iterations.
- No response from Art, Foreign Language.
- Jojo partially on board with Health/Wellness, but nothing PE specific.
- Some subjects have begun aligning to curriculum units.
- Going into the fall - using this to figure out what is essential; as a way to communicate with students/parents expectations.
- Molly - Looking at it through the lease of students - Could students pull work out of a portfolio that demonstrates certain skills? How are students reflecting about this?
- Looking to student acing - voice/choice
- Likely we'll find some revisions when in use
- Lots of high-level teacher jargon
- What will this look like going forward
- Need a common understanding among staff
- Aligning our work to these documents
- Wording can't be too vague - too wide a gap in understanding, won't be useful
- Pick and choose "goals", start small
B.
Implementation of Criteria for Excellence Documents in Remote Learning
C.
Next Steps
When do we take "Draft" off -
PD -
- Committee reviews it
- HoS, Principal, Department Chairs
- Bring to Departments
PD -
- give time for Art, PE, World Languages
- others start aligning units
