Call the Meeting to Order
Nichole Thompson called a meeting of the Governance Committee of MCCPS Board of Trustees to order on Tuesday Aug 8, 2017 at 7:02 PM.

Nichole Thompson made a motion to approve minutes.
Kay O'Dwyer seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Guests Xhazzie Kindle and Star Connor voiced their concerns regarding teacher and student attrition and other issues.
Action Item: Nichole Thompson will send a communication to the Chair of the Board of Trustees to 1) outline the Governance Committee's concerns regarding teacher and student attrition as it relates to the Board's responsibilities; 2) recommend that the Board form an attrition task force; 3) offer the Governance Committee's help, if needed.
