Call the Meeting to Order
Jan Brodie called a meeting of the Communication & Community Relations Committee Committee of MCCPS Board of Trustees to order on Wednesday Jun 8, 2016 at 7:30 AM.

Approve Minutes
Maureen Kay made a motion to approve minutes from the Development Committee Committee Meeting on 05-17-16 Development Committee Meeting on 05-17-16.
Mary McRae seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Development Committee
A.
Review of the 2016-17 Development Calendar
The Development Calendar for 2016-17 was reviewed. One change was to push the Big Quiz Event to November 18 from the original date of November 12, due to Veterans Day. Two new campaign events were being added for next year.
Ellen Lodgen arrived.
B.
Review Bidding for Good Auction
The On-line fundraiser with Bidding for Good was completed on May 31, 2016 after running for a month. The auction raised $7,767 gross, $6,400 net of expenses. The auction had 70 auction items and was put together in less than thirty days.
C.
Review 2015-16 Department Fundraising
For the just completed school year, the Development Department raised $43,388. Jan thanked the committee and development participants for a job well done.

A.
Calendar meeting with the PTO
Jan will follow up with the PTO regarding next year's Development Calendar.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 AM.
