Development
Meeting with other education nonprofits about the possibility of co-locating in ground floor space. Davis Grant ($100k) can be used toward building expenses. Requires $400k match.
Will apply for Charter School Program Fund in spring.
Beth seeking intros to additional local foundations.

Nonprofit Operations
Beth has been in contact with Charter School Business Management who can provide CFO-type help to stay in compliance with federal funds, set up all accounts, record-keeping, and reporting.
Contracting with Preti Flaherty to manage insurance, etc. Matt recommended an insurance agent.

Student/Family Recruitment
Schola is active on our website and can do intake for any enrollment inquiries. They are doing outreach to families who participated in Moxie's launching process.
Mariposa is developing marketing collateral, ads, etc. in 15-mile radius.
III. New Business
A.
Retreat Agenda Development
Charlie will facilitate retreat on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 10am-3pm at Moxie's future site, 123 Darling. Beth shared a proposed agenda for the retreat.
123 Darling, South Portland, has been approved for the necessary changes in zoning. Assuming no appeal has been filed by December 8, MOXIE Public Schools has a building.
Working with Port City Architecture for building updates. Building meets almost all necessary codes. Will require separating lobby from other tenant in the building.
Exploring financing options to cover any building improvements. Maine Charter School Commission would need to approve any debt MPS would incur.
Lease will include ability to sublet.
