Update
Kathy Ortiz shared the recent student demographic data as of September, noting strong attendance and enrollment numbers that are aligned with current year's budget. She also presented the preliminary Spring 2023 NYS test scores in both ELA and Math, citing that more data will be shared in a future board meeting.
Ms. Ortiz concluded her presentation with directing the board to the proposed District-Wide School Safety Plan for the 2023-24 school year.

Jasmin Abbatiello reminded the board of items shared via email.

Jasmin Abbatiello shared a monthly "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" video, highlighting recent celebrations and events at Bronx Arts.
Barbara H. Scott shared that the both the school leadership team and board have decided to not move forward with plans to submit an intent to apply for a new charter, under the available "Zombie" charters.
Ms. Scott proceeded to share that the board is in need of a Secretary with Ms. Trager's recent resignation and asked that any interested board members reach out to her.
Lastly, Barbara H.Scott reminded the board of the upcoming charter renewal on-site visits scheduled for November 14th and 15th, and asked that board members consider participating in these visits.
