Barbara Scott reported that NYSED had not yet formally approved the CAO position but that we do not anticipate any issues once the charter revision request was re-submitted.
III. Academic Program Report
A.
First weeks of school, enrollment, and building community
Eric Osorio and Barbara Scott reported that Kathy Ortiz had a very successful launch and beginning to the new school year. Both shared that Kathy Ortiz has created and planned for events to increase parent involvement and participation, and has the support of the faculty. Kathy Ortiz has also had frequent communications with board members and frequent contact with Eric Osorio, who is chair of the Program Committee.
IV. Finance and Operations

Finance Report
Arlene Bascom noted that the current school year's 2022-23 budget planned for a student enrollment of 580. She reported that as of September 12th and based on DOE ATS data, current enrollment for both the elementary and middle school is 299, totaling 598 for the entire charter.
V. Development
A.
Development Report
David Barnard reported that as of September 2nd, a total of $445k, which includes pledges was raised for the prior FY21-22. He discussed the upcoming engagement event at the MOMA scheduled for October 26th at 5PM. During this event, board members and their guests are invited to attend a private tour of the MOMA. Board members were encouraged to contact Jasmin Abbatiello as soon as possible with their plans to attend.

Executive Session began at 6:30pm.
Susan Geisenheimer reported that the search committee had over 25 resumes and interviewed three candidates but that none of the applicants had sufficient qualifications for the job. As a result, the search will be put on hold and a search will begin for a permanent Executive Director.
