Mission:

The Mission of Brevard Academy is to prepare its students to achieve academic excellence through the Core Knowledge Sequence. Through a partnership involving students, teachers, and parents the school strives to create citizens with strong moral character and active intellectual inquiry.

Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy (BA-CFA) a K-8 public charter school develops and encourages motivated, intellectually curious students who are skilled in critical thinking, individual expression, and problem-solving. 1. INSURANCE REPAIRS- Completed ceiling tile replacements, replaced copier, seeking tile contractors. 

2. SEWAGE PUMP REPLACEMENT-sewage pump failed with clogged items.  Replaced with grinder pump. operating at 100% currently. 

3. USDA UPDATE-  Meeting to discuss design bid procurement. 

 
  B. New Business Discuss Ted Duncan 20 m
   

1. Soccer Field Repairs-- every little grass left on field, becomes very muddy after rains. Need to revitalize.  back field has more grass but is very unlevel in spots and is too small an area for regulation field.

Democracy Project in 6th Grade seeking mini field.

 

2. Gaga Pit repair- screen mat is falling apart.  Gaga pit approx 21 feet diameter.  New mat needs to be able to drain water. see photo

 

3. Asphalt Repairs? getting bad in car line area.  Really needs complete replacement at 3-4 inch thickness

 

4. Custodian New Hire- Robin Young

 

5. Stage Staining- hoping to accomplish this by Spring Break?

 

6. Roof Repairs-  No major leaks since Hurricane, but still need to address faulty areas at some point. 

 

7. Van repairs or Truck purchase? Van needs new tires, has leaking oil cover, and weak battery/starter.
