The purpose of the Consent Agenda is to act upon routine matters in an expeditious manner. Items placed on the Consent Agenda as determined by the Chair, in cooperation with the HOS, are those that are considered common to the operation of the Board and normally require no special board discussion or debate. A board member may request that any item on the Consent Agenda be removed and inserted at an appropriate place on the regular agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda for this meeting include:

The revised Dress Code Policy, specifically regarding the hair policy, was approved by the Board on January 28, 2026, pending ASB’s submission of the corrected and clearer language or verbiage. See the updated version below.

 

SIA students in grades 6-12 shall wear their hair for school in a manner that supports a safe learning environment. Students may dye their hair. School Administration holds the authority to determine if a student's hair does not support a safe learning environment. The school administration will notify a student’s parent/guardian of the school’s response to violations of the student dress policy.
