Call the Meeting to Order
J. Stoneburner called a meeting of the board of trustees of James Jordan Middle School Board of Trustees to order on Tuesday Feb 18, 2014 at 6:10 PM.

Approve Minutes
J. LaBarbera made a motion to approve minutes from the Board Meeting on 01-24-14 Board Meeting on 01-24-14.
V. Gandarilla seconded the motion.

A.
Lead teacher 1CC Lessons 2PD Collaboration3.Multicultural festival collaboration
1. Common Core Lessons - real life situations- most teachers have completed this task
2. Collaboration with colleagues- Smarter Balance assessment training test
3. Events- Valentines Day Dance and upcoming Multicultural festival - collaboration between staff, students, and parents

Review and approve our ConApp for federal funds
J. Stoneburner made a motion to approve the Consolidated Application for Winter 2013-2014 as submitted.

Review and approve form 990 for IRS tax exempt status
J. LaBarbera made a motion to 2012-2013 James Jordan Middle school 990 Form.

Review and approve January Financials
J. Stoneburner made a motion to approve January 2014 Financials as submitted.

IV. Governance
A.
Review compliance certification from LAUSD and authorize President to sign as completed
J. LaBarbera made a motion to give John Stoneburner the power to sign the Certification of Board Complaince Review.
V. Gandarilla seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Review LAUSD notice to cure and JJMS response
Board was proved with the latest update on this topic via email. A reminder was made that the board should not respond to the emails. Brown Act states that this should only be discussed at a board meeting.
C.
Form 700: board members are legally required to fill this out annually
Deadline to submit original before March 1, 2014
Submit to Ms. Malone
Ms. Malone will submit all 4 forms via email or hand delivered
