Call the Meeting to Order
A. Collins called a meeting of the Academic Committee of Empower College Prep to order on Monday Nov 7, 2016 at 4:43 PM.

II. Academic
A.
Division of Responsibility for Year 1 tasks in Strategic Plan - Academic Program
A. Collins informed the committee that it needs to breakdown the year 1 tasks and timeline for when they will be due. The committee will discuss assignments and plans for completion more in depth at the December committee meeting.
B.
Sample Exemplar Performance
Empower school principals who were present shared sample exemplars for a given subject and standard. Discussion on exemplars will take place at next meeting.
C.
Review Q1 Benchmark Data from Galileo
The committee spent considerable time discussing end of year academic data from FY16 and compared it to quarter 1 benchmark data for the current year. The data included summaries for all grades 3rd through 9th grade from Galileo benchmark assessments as well as NWEA data from FY16. High School data also included results from Basecamp assessments.
