Whereas: Empower College Prep provides instruction that exceeds state requirements and has done so since its founding, with 186 instructional days included in its charter contract, and
Whereas: Additional time for staff professional development and for providing targeted instruction for specific students would benefit staff and students. These services are often provided through grants that must be in addition to the contractual time already provided.
Therefore, let it be resolved that Empower College Prep amend its instructional days calendar from 186 to 180 days.
