Whereas: The Empower College Prep Governing Board has authorized capital expenditures to purchase the land immediately south of the school to build a preschool, and Whereas: The Empower College Prep Governing Board has authorized capital expenditures to contract with an architect to design the preschool, and Whereas: The next step in constructing a preschool is contacting with a General Contractor to engage with the Architect in value engineering to finalize construction documents and reach a Guaranteed Maximum Price.
Therefore, let it be resolved that the Empower College Prep Governing Board authorize capital expenditures, not to exceed $170,000, to contract with a general contractor in order to engage with the architect to value engineer and finalize construction documents and reach a Guaranteed Maximum Price. |
