Whereas: Empower College Prep's Executive Director has shared at the May and June meetings that curriculum is a startegic focus currently for the school, and
Whereas: The school's curriculum is central to the school's mission and vision being fulfilled, and
Whereas: The Governing Board has a responsibility to participate in decisions about curriculum, and Whereas: The Governing Board has previously had a standing Academic Committee that has not met for more than a year. Therefore, let it be resolved that: The Empower College Prep Governing Board re-establish an Academic Committee to participate in decisions about curriculum and provide governance over the programmatic operations of the school. |
