| A. | Approve capital allocation | |
|
Whereas the school has a strategic interest in purchasing vans and diversifying transportation options to get students to and from school, and
Whereas: The AZCSP grant allows funds to be used for this purchase, and
Whereas: Empower College Prep financial policies require the Management Team to obtain Board approval before making capital purchases.
Therefore, let it be resolved that: The Governing Board approves the Management Team to allocate an amount not to exceed $125,000 of AZCSP funds to purchase vans.

| B. | Approve adjustment to net income goal | |
|
Whereas: The projected net income is below the initial Board goal, and
Whereas: The organization is best served to operate with a lower net income this year and allow federal stimulus funds to support future years' net income, and
Whereas: The Executive Director is responsible for managing the budget to achieve the Board-approved goals and in pursuit of the short-term and long-term best interest of the school.
Therefore, let it be resolved that: Empower College Prep adjust its budgeted net income goal from $100,000 to $100.

| C. | Approve AOI school | |
|
Whereas: Empower College Prep anticipates some families will not be ready to return to school next year, and
Whereas: The legislature has not provided any mechanism to generate any funds for these students after FY21, and
Whereas: Having an AOI school would provide a mechanism to receive funding for these students.
Therefore, let it be resolved that Empower College Prep's Governing Board seeks approval of an expansion amendment to include an Arizona Online Instruction School.
