The Executive Director will provide an update including the management of COVID-19, the impact on enrollment and academics, and the projected impact on operations after Fall Break. Additional context will be provided for strategic conversations about meeting family and community needs, an analysis of FY20 recruitment efforts, and the school's financial position that is clearer now as we approach the end of the first quarter.

A. | Board approves continuing distance learning in addition to beginning in-person or hybrid classes | |
Whereas: Empower College Prep has submitted its distance learning plan, its plan for onsite services, and its mitigation plan, as required by Executive Orders and the State Board for Charter School, and
Whereas: Maricopa County has met all 3 benchmarks required for schools to begin offering in-person or hybrid classes, in addition to onsite services, and
Whereas: An increased number of families are requesting to return to school daily or in a hybrid model, and
Whereas: Assessment data indicates student learning has declined during distance learning.
Therefore, let it be resolved that: Empower College Prep's Governing Board approves all Empower College Prep schools to offer in-person and hybrid classes, and to continue distance learning for families who continue to request this option.
