Whereas: Empower College Prep is chartered to serve grades 3-12, and
Whereas: Empower College Prep's growth model includes adding one grade each year, and
Whereas: Empower College Prep currently serves grades 3-11, and
Whereas: The current grade configuration includes grades 3-6 and 7-11, and
Whereas: Accountability models for letter grades are based on grades 3-8 and 9-12, and the Senior Leadership Team has determined the preferred transition be at grade 9 instead of grade 7,

Therefore, let it be resolved that Empower College Prep add 12th grade and re-configure to become a 3rd - 8th grade elementary school and 9th -12th grade high school. 

  D. Approve Member Campus
   
Whereas: Empower College Prep's construction project and resulting consolidation is on track to be completed after the beginning of the school year during the first semester, and
Whereas: Empower College Prep Elementary School will therefore be operating at two sites, grades 3-5 at 5757 N. Central and grades 6-8 at 2411 W. Colter St., and 
Whereas: The Arizona State Board for Charter Schools has a structure called a "member campus" to accommodate scenarios in which schools operate on two campuses.

Therefore, let it be resolved that Empower College Prep Elementary School grades 6-8 operating at 2411 W. Colter St. Buildings A and C be a member campus of the Empower College Prep Elementary School currently operating at 5757 N. Central Ave.
  E. Approve Angela Eich as Authorized Representative
   

Whereas: Brian Holman is currently the only Authorized Representative to the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools, and
Whereas: Angela Eich is responsible for some submissions to and interactions with the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools, and
Whereas: The Arizona State Board for Charter Schools allows organizations to have more than one authorized representative if and only if the Board approves this.

Therefore, let it be resolved that Angela Eich be added as an Authorized Representative of Empower College Prep to the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools.
