Chief Academic Officer Megan Palomo presented the request for  approval of a consulting agreement with Williams Education Strategies LLC to provide leadership coaching, strategic planning, and specialized support, including SPED professional development and leadership sessions, during the 2025–26 school year. The contract is set at $250 per hour for about twelve hours monthly, with flexible termination terms and ongoing coordination between the consultant and Superintendent.

Chief Business Officer Mike Romero presented the request to adopt the Resolution to contract Sysco Ventura for the Food Program Groceries contract. WCPA received one proposal in response to its 2025–26 groceries and services RFP for Delano and Lost Hills. Based on evaluation criteria, the Review Committee recommends awarding the contract to Sysco Ventura for the period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Mike Romero, Chief Business Officer presented the request for approval for the updated Annual Student Wellness Policy for the Lost Hills Campus. The revised policy includes enhanced guidance on school meals, nutrition education, community partnerships, and professional learning for students, with new sections added on social-emotional support and suicide prevention.

Chief Business Officer Mike Romero presented the request for approval of the revised Youth Suicide Prevention Policies for Delano and Lost Hills, updated to align with CDE guidance and best practices from public health agencies. The policy strengthens prevention and response through staff training, student and family engagement, early intervention, crisis protocols, and coordination with mental health services to address the growing youth mental health crisis.

Chief Business Officer Mike Romero presented the request for  approval of Resolution No. 2024/25-04 authorizing teacher instruction pursuant to Education Code Section 44256(b) in order to allow the holder of a Multiple Subject or Standard Elementary credential to be authorized to teach any subject in a departmentalized classroom below grade 9 if the teacher has completed twelve semester units, or six upper division or graduate units, of coursework at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the subject to be taught. 

Executive Director Lupe Sanchez presented the request for approval of the 2026-27 Open Enrollment Cycles for Delano & Lost Hills. WCPA Delano and Lost Hills charter petitions require an open enrollment cycle with applications accepted for at least 90 days. If applicants exceed available spaces, admission will be determined through a public random lottery.

The Board is asked to review and approve the reappointment of Samer Mohamed as Board Member and Chairperson. Mr. Mohamed brings extensive business and charter school governance experience, including three years as WCPA Board Chair and prior service as Board President of Almond Acres Charter Academy.
