Bridgeport Elementary Board Report - Jesse Macy

October 2026

 Prioritize Student Safety and Well-Being

The PBIS team is meeting on October 27 to plan out the focus for the year. We will look at out discipline data and prioritize a behavior, an area, or both, that we can focus on to reduce instances of the behavior.

Elevate Rigorous Student Learning

The elementary HiCap will begin meeting the first week of November. The building has conducted a screener of all second graders, and teachers have submitted referrals for students they believe may qualify. We are currently finishing the review process for the Fall. We will look at nomination again in the Spring.

Strengthening Community and Family Engagement

The entire week of conferences, we will once again be hosting a Book Fair. It will run Monday through Friday, with students having the opportunity to visit during school hours, as well as during conferences. This is also a great way for us to add additional books to our library.

Develop Use of Data-driven Monitoring and Intervention

Intervention cycles are going well as we are now wrapping up October. Teachers have gotten adjusted to the changes from last year and are doing amazing things. Our MTSS coordinator, Susan Schuh, is doing amazing work supporting our students and teachers!
