ED Report

MM presented slide deck attached. Some highlights:

LACS hosted an MCAS hype event to get students excited for testing and in a positive mindset

Lower Academy has 100% Compliance and looking to counter chronic absenteeism with buyback days during spring break

Upper Academy is at 92% attendance rate and is meeting GPA goals! MM is actively assessing OSS rate, which is higher than desired, but necessary for effective response to disciplinary matters.

College and Career Readiness is stepping into high gear with recent family night and significant programming and action steps for students. Upcoming bus tour of HBCUs with MLK family services.

TC connected MM with the head of MLKFS to further develop relationship

AS asked about HSIs and MM would be interested in developing further connections and pathways to exposure

Students have taken SAT's and another round is being scheduled. MM interested in finding summer SAT tutoring to offer students

10 new hires in place and ongoing work for Talent Director- progressing

Student recruitment in strong position

NB asked about typical attrition timeline, and MM has gotten initial information from family survey. Team will be responding to those on the fence later in April

MM shared the working document that the COllege and Career team uses to track each student's process- need to complete multiple steps this spring to be prepared for application season next fall. Students will complete a Fit project that they present to staff and their own families
