T. Curtis called a meeting of the Academic Achievement Committee Committee of Libertas Academy Charter School to order on Wednesday Nov 6, 2019 at 5:00 PM.

Intervention Update
The schedule is structured to support GEAR (independent reading, 30 minutes) where students get reading intervention at this time. This happens at the beginning of the day. Intervention is 50 minutes daily (math or reading) at the end of the day. The school is piloting two different programs, APEX for math, and for reading the school is piloting READ 180. Modesto is getting really good feedback from students and staff regarding the new schedule and supports.

Proposed Board Training and Topics
Discuss the structure of a potential Board training covering the basics of governance related to academic achievement. Possible topics could include questions the board should be asking, frequently used acronyms and educational language, the school's testing calendar, and the purpose of the dashboard.
Tiffani and Josh will meet offline to find a time to meet and plan for the board overview.

Modesto provided an update of a potential outline of the strategic plan.
Modesto has requested Josh and Tiffani download the plan and offer comments or suggestions.
