Call the Meeting to Order
N. Barker called a meeting of the board of trustees of Libertas Academy Charter School to order on Wednesday Mar 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

Approve Minutes
N. Barker made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Achievement Committee Meeting on 02-11-26.
J. Fedor seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

N. Barker made a motion to Approve the proposed 26-27 school calendar.

final preparation for ELA MCAS- next week
School performance of Little Mermaid was a big success
8th graders operated as teaching assistants, showing all they have taken in from their teachers
Teacher Evaluations going well
Teacher retention tracking at 100% with 3 involuntary releases
Org Health and Parent Survey on track results
Attendance remains off track with CA going up despite great efforts. Winter weather and holidays led to students missing additional days. Remains a major point of focus
ELA is on track in 6th grade but needs a push in 7th and 8th
Math showing terrific growth from IA 1 to IA 2
Student servicing is on track for services offered
Discipline and school culture is on track with OSS at 2.8%
UA focal points included an Advanced Theater production, a student led protest, Club initiatives, and a black excellence showcase
10th ELA is on track
9th Bio M/E on track but PM needs to rise
LACS reading growth continues to be exemplary- featured student Camilla rose from a 950 to 1825 (College level)!
SAT prep is in the works- preliminary findings for juniors showed only 15% scoring above 1000 (goal of 50% exceeding that score). Plans coming together for additional support to help students get better at pacing- they have the skills, but need more experience with the pacing and strategies for this specific test
College process is on track with MM very pleased with the engagement and timeline this year
AP exams, SAT's and MCAS all lie ahead in near future!
