Victor Rivera called a meeting of the board of trustees of Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter Schools to order on Friday Jul 12, 2024 at 12:01 PM.

Approve Board BSNBCS Minutes
Shawn Carson made a motion to approve the minutes from June Board Meeting on 06-18-24.
Doris Givens seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Approve Board Minutes BSNBCS2
Joseph Sciame made a motion to approve the minutes from BSNBCS2 Board Meeting on 06-18-24.

Vote on Number of Fixed Trustees
Joseph Sciame made a motion to The motion is to increase the number of fixed Trustees from 5 to 8 Trustees. All Trustees are voting trustees.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Vote on District Safety Plan
Joseph Sciame made a motion to approve the District Safety Plan as presented.
Shawn Carson seconded the motion.

Doris Givens updated the board on the Governance Committee's work in recruiting Trustees.
Joe Sciame suggested we redouble our efforts for folks in the community.
Joe acknowledged the hard work of the staff in maintaining the school, building the high school and implementing the school's strategic plan.
Joe acknowledged the work of Chair Victor Rivera in leading the Board.
