Call the Meeting to Order

Joseph Sciame called a meeting to order on Tuesday Jun 18, 2024 at 7:03 PM.

Approve Minutes of 5-15-24 Meeting

Doris Givens made a motion to approve the minutes from BSNBCS2 Board Meeting on 05-15-24.
Joseph Sciame seconded the motion.
The team VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Approve 2024-25 Board Calendar

Joseph Sciame made a motion to approve 2024-25 Calendar.
Doris Givens seconded the motion.
The team VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Committee Updates

A.

Committee Updates

EXD Nicholas Tishuk provided the Board an update on the compliance deliverables for BSNBCS2, the readiness of the facilities at 82 Lewis and the summer planning for July 2024. The School continues to make progress towards its opening in August and additional updates from committees and school staff will be provided on the upcoming July Board meeting.

B.

Vote on New Trustees

Victor Rivera made a motion to approve Cecelia Russo, John Matos and Cynthia Aker to join the Board.
Doris Givens seconded the motion.
The team VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Cecelia Russo, John Matos and Cynthia Aker currently serve on the Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School Board and would like to continue their work at BSNBCS2 following the merger of the two schools.
