Chair John Matos presented on the work of the finance committee and update dhte Board on the numbers.

Review and Vote on FY27 Budget
Executive Director Tishuk presented the proposed FY27 budget to the Board. Trustees asked questions about Compensation assumptions, per pupil revenues and the overall uncertainty related to the late New York State budget.
The Board voted and unanimously approved the FY27 budget as presented.

Chair Simone Pratt let the board know there were no updates of the Development Committee.

Executive Session
The Board entered into Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter.
Chief Academic Officer Patience Brown updated the Board on the work of the academic committee. She highlighted today's Middle School performance of Willy Wonka and several events coming up: Prom, Middle School Enrichment Week, 8th Grade Stepping Up and other events included in the attached flyer. Career Day is June 2nd and all Trustees are invited to attend.
BSNBCS has completed its 3-8 New York State Assessments. We have students in Middle School taking Life Science Biology and the Algebra Exams. At the high school, we have Global history, Algebra, Geometry, Life Science Biology and Earth and Space Science exams. Our last day of school is prior to Juneteenth. The trustees discussed the 8th grade students who are stepping up and the process to join our high school and the process for applying to other schools.
Trustees asked questions about the College and Career Readiness program and the high school sports program.
