SPED support and interventions in the time of Covid 19
El Dorado SELPA - assessments may just end up happening next year.
Supports right now:
Maggie & Abby will look for SPED resources and send to David.
Can we do push-in via zoom with breakout rooms? That is sort of what we were thinking with office hours. Teachers can do SPED office hours. That way they can modify/differentiate how they re-teach or introduce a high-leverage concept from that week.
Supports right now:
- teachers are recording zoom classes so students can watch them again and at their own speed
- teachers are reaching out to EL and IEP students - calling them to come to office hours
- David will reach out to counseling services to pick back up and do virtual sessions

Have not had staff-wide conversations about a grading philosophy. Wanted to wait until this meeting.
70% attendance at zoom right now.
Thinking about moving to pass/fail. How motivated are students by grades right now? Would that move counteract this? Pass/fail is about equity. How might a pass/fail affect the year-long average of a grade - maybe a pass could bump up the grade by one?
What about having a staff task force to think about this? They could read over some articles that present different perspectives and make a recommendation. ACTION: Maggie & Abby will send over some articles
