H. Morris called a meeting of the board of directors of Why Not You Academy to order on Monday Dec 14, 2020 at 6:33 PM.

Board Dashboard Updates
Enrollment is currently on track.
Facility: Korsmo will be back in the building to resume construction on 12/14.
Finance: Budget is on track for the planning year.
Fundraising: WNYA raised close to 90K for the Learning Hub through WNYF and virtual benefit.
Hiring: Spanish teacher, SPED, Learning specialist, and IA. All are live on the Indeed as well as WNYA website.
Pre-opening conditions: WNYA will be updating the conditions for 21-22 SY.

Mentorship at WNYA
The partnership with Why Not You Foundation has created excitement and interest in potential mentors/internship sites for students. WNYA is looking forward to meeting with Big Brothers Big Sister this week to continue discuss a community mentorship relationship.

Future Fundraising Strategy
WNYA will seek opportunities for community input on fundraising initiatives. The goal is to make sure the school has a strong start while prioritizing community voice.

Reviewing Board Goals
Committees will meet in January to review board goals and make sure they are mission and vision aligned.
