Update on Accountability Goals

Ms. Clark presented data about out of class referrals, one of our accountability goals. We are on track to meet this goal, and our dean of students team is doing lots of proactive work to support students in staying in class and being productive in class. In terms of our accountability goal around homework, we are also on track to meet that goal. We discussed ways the leadership team is intervening in homerooms where percentages are lower. Ms. Clark shared how she and the team are most proud of their work with attendance and chronic absenteeism. We are on track to show big improvements around chronic absenteeism, which is a a part of the state accountability system now. She discussed the different ways the student support team has been intervening early here. Finally, we discussed suspensions. We have had a total of two suspensions this year, and Ms. Clark shared all the proactive moves the school culture team has made to coach and support students behaviorally and to intervene before behaviors escalate to suspension-level behaviors.
