R. Sela called a meeting of the Academic Achievement Committee of Veritas Preparatory Charter School to order on Thursday Apr 12, 2018 at 8:03 AM.

The minutes will be approved at the May meeting.

II. Massachusetts Charter School Criteria

A.

Charter School Criteria #6

R. Sela initiated the discussion for the Massachusetts Charter School Criteria Section 6 - Program Delivery. The committee discussed the four items outlined in this section. E. Baecher and A. Martin provided additional details around each of the numbered items of Criterion 6.  

Criterion #8 - Capacity will be discussed at the next Academic Meeting.


 

III. Academic Committee Goals

A.

Revisiting the Goals of the Committee

R Sela used the spreadsheet to highlight goals of the committee and what has been achieved and what items are outstanding.  M Sweet suggested a goal for next year around family engagement as a way to help support academic achievement.

IV. Updates

A.

Special ed mid cycle compliance review results

Veritas met all the expectations of the Special Ed Mid Cycle Compliance Performance Review.

Hiring

E Baecher provided an update on hiring and the hiring process.


 

V. Closing Items

A.

Adjourn Meeting

M. Sweet made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
R. Sela seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 9:07 AM.
