M. Sweet called a meeting to order on Wednesday Nov 29, 2017 at 9:00 AM.

II. Holyoke RFP Review

A. Holyoke RFP Review

Rachel provided the timeline and schedule for the response to the City of Holyoke.
Proposals are due 12/6/2017
Interviews for candidates - 12/15/2017
Final decision - 12/20/2017

She also provided the internal timeline for the preparation of the response.

B. Description of Proposed Structure

Friends of VPCS will be submitting the proposal to HPS.

The school will engage in a Collaborations and Services Agreement with Friends..

III. Current DRAFT of proposal

A. Brief description of current draft of proposal

Discussion of how the proposal is set up and who will be signing the contract with the City of Holyoke.

Friends will be submitting the proposal is with the structure the contract to be determined.

IV. Costs / Benefits to School

A. Benefits

Mike Sweet discussed that the Holyoke proposal is an opportunity that benefits both Friends of VPCS as well as the school.

The work in Holyoke aligns with the school's strategic priority to establish Veritas Prep as a Regional Leader and Influencer on urban education reform.

V. Issues

A. Issues and resolutions following votes

Discussion about the role that Friends of Veritas and VPCS (school) school will take once proposal moves beyond the initial / presentation stage.
