Members of the public are invited to address the board at the beginning of each meeting and will also be given opportunity to comment on each agenda item during the meeting, under the direction of the Board Chair or presiding Member.

Individual comments will be limited to two (2) minutes. If an interpreter is needed for comments, they will be translated to English and the time limit shall be four (4) minutes. The Board may limit the total time for public comment to a reasonable time.

On January 12, 2016, the LAUSD board voted to approve a Board Resolution, “Keeping Parents Informed:  Charter Transparency” which was passed with the support of the LA charter community.  The resolution highlighted information and data that charter public schools share with parents through their charter petitions, School Accountability Report Cards, Local Education Agency Plans, Local Control Accountability Plans, Annual Audits, and other publicly available documents.
