Facilities Updates

Important Ops and Facilities Bids and Request for Proposals:

    • Universal Security- Starting 08/28/2023 Universal Security began providing security services for the 23/24 school year, by way of contract piggyback with
      MSCS.
    • GoToMeeting- Effective August 18, 2023 Zoom Accounts have been phased out in place of GoToMeeting, the current provider of phone services.

QUESTION:

Committee Chair Anderson:  Were there any security concerns or issues with the GoTo Meeting platform versus the Zoom?

Chief Phillips:  No.  The GoTo Meeting Platform provided the same level of security.

Committee Chair Anderson:  Did GoTo Meeting Platform provide KMPS with any other customers or local businesses that use the platform?

Chief Phillips:  Will have to check if any local businesses are using it.  GoTo Meeting is a nationally recognized application for virtual meeting platforms.
