  A. Pupil Progression Plan

Because LEAP testing was not conducted in the Spring of 2020, the Pupil Progression Plan template that all Louisiana public schools use was revised by the Department of Education to remove requirements related to LEAP. This change does not impact ISL's policies, however the Board is required to adopt a new plan that conforms to the updated template. The revised document was posted to the ISL website on September 17; families were informed via Tidbits and a feedback form was created to gather family input regarding the proposed changes.

  B. Proposed Amendment to COVID-19 Policy Regarding Group Sizes

Vote regarding an amendment stipulating that ISL will retain a lower maximum group size (30) than is allowed under statewide Phase 3 rules (50). This is consistent with NOLA Public Schools' policy. Maximum group size under Phase 2 is 25.
  C. Proposed Amendment to COVID-19 Policy Regarding Duration of Quarantine for Asymptomatic Contacts

Vote on proposed amendment to ISL's COVID-19 policy regarding the duration of quarantine for asymptomatic close contacts of individuals who test positive for COVID. This amendment follows the Louisiana Department of Health's recommendations, which were recently changed to align with new CDC guidelines. Quarantine periods for asymptomatic individuals would be shortened from 14 days to 10 days (without a COVID test) or 7 days (with a negative COVID test), thereby shortening the length of time children and adults are excluded from school.
