Call the Meeting to Order
B. Gilbert called a meeting of the board of directors of Beatrice Mayes Institute to order on Tuesday Apr 28, 2026 at 6:33 PM.

Approve Minutes
B. Gilbert made a motion to approve the minutes from Board of Directors Meeting on 03-24-26.
R. Caine seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
II. Superintendent Report
A.
Superintendent Update
- Discussed upcoming Math STAAR Test for 3rd-8th grade students. Testing is going well on campus.
- Current enrollment is 608 students. Families are moving out of state, not leaving due to school issues.
- Large enrollment numbers are coming from previous Yellowstone Academy students looking for a new school.
- Currently over 100 SPED students enrolled.
- Completed 3 job fairs in the last two weeks.
- GatorFest is Saturday, May 2nd. GatorFest will include job fair, enrollment and fun activities for the community.
III. Finance
A.
Finance Report
- Finance Committee will meet in May 2026.
- March 2026 financials discussed.
- Fundraising strategies will be discussed at next board meeting.
IV. Academic Excellence Committee & Strategic Plan
A.
Academic Excellence
- Teacher Incentive Allotment discussed.
- Plan to phase ancillary teachers into the Teacher Incentive Allotment over time.
- Teachers can earn $6K-$32K paid by designation once a year in August. Partnered with Region 4.
