Call the Meeting to Order

A. Allen called a meeting of the board of directors of Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee to order on Saturday Feb 3, 2024 at 11:14 AM.

II. GDPST Strategic Priorities Updates

A.

Compliance Review: TN Open Meetings Act

J. Hamilton led the TN Open Meeting Act. 

 

  • T.C.A. § 8-44-103. Notice of public meetings
  • Meetings Defined 
  • T.C.A. § 8-44-104. Minutes recorded and open to the public -- Secret votes prohibited.
  • T.C.A. § 8-44-105. Action nullified -- Exception





 



 

B.

GDPST Transition

J. Rodgers led the GDPST Transition. 

 

  • Effective July 1st, Green Dot Public School Tennessee will be transitioning from Green Dot Public Schools National.  
  • This means, Green Dot Public School Tennessee will operate independently.  All services will be localized to specifically support GDPST.



 

C.

GDPST Bylaws

J. Rodgers led the GDPST Bylaws.

 

  • 3.2 Authorized Number (of Directors)
  • 3.4.3 Removal of Directors
  • 10 Amendments - Amend to exclude reference to GDPSN in first sentence.
  • And finally amend to exclude article 11:



 



 



 

D.

TPCSC Amendment

J. Rodgers led the TPCSC Amendment. 

 

  • GDPST Resolution to Name Change. 

III. Consent Agenda

A.

Minutes from 12/14/23 GDPST Board of Directors' Special Call Meeting

P. Velasquez made a motion to approve the minutes from GDPST Board of Directors' Meeting on 12-14-23.
A. Allen seconded the motion.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
