Perea Elementary School will prepare all students academically, socially, and emotionally for success by creating and maintaining a classroom and school environment that is student-centered, with high academic expectations and where all students feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued.

Call the Meeting to Order
J. Boyd called a meeting of the board of directors of Perea Elementary School to order on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 4:33 PM.

K. Nichols made a motion to approve Perea Elementary School on 05-05-22.
D. Moses seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
II. School Leader's Report

Staffing
- Current positions available
- PPS has 3 positions to fill.
- PES has 7 positions to fill.
- Use Pool from Teach901 and Select Ed.
- Referrals from Staff.
- Staff Retention
- 21-22 90% Staff retention.
- 20-21 Year of Covid19 75% retention
- Will perform Exit interviews.
- 22-23 Enrollment
- Schedule Registration Drive.
- Community Events.
- July Back to School Drive.
- Update on Transcend
- Successful visit with Transcend
- Two Teachers will visit them.
- Summer Learning Camp
- SLC dates June 6 - July1.
- National Summer School Institute (ELA and Math).
- Third Grade Chapter Book
- New Nurse on site.
- Summer Institute funded by TDOE.
- Preferred Meals to provide meals/afternoon snacks.
- 22-23 School Year Calendar
- PPS and PES calendar to align school start and end time.
- Morning huddle.
- Departmentalization for grades 2-4.
- Restorative ISS (Supervise studies& Reset) and 2 Family engagement Assistants.
- Model classrooms in PPS and PES.
