Call the Meeting to Order

C. Heng called a meeting of the Building Committee of Excel Academy Rhode Island to order on Thursday Mar 21, 2024 at 7:05 PM.

Approve Minutes for 2.6.23 Committee Meeting

C. Heng made a motion to approve the minutes from.
A. Solomon seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Governance

A.

Refresh on Building Committee membership & responsibilities

Kaynor refreshed the Board on the structure, membership, and responsibilities of the Excel Academy Rhode Island Building Committee. Kaynor noted that the Committee meets at least once per year in accordance with the Board's by-laws and that the Committee also meets more frequently on an as-needed basis, for purposes such as ensuring compliance with SBA requirements and providing guidance to the Board on real estate matters.

III. Real Estate

A.

Update on current and prospective facilities

Reed provided the Committee with an update on the status of current and prospective facilities for Excel Academy Rhode Island. The Committee briefly discussed.

IV. Closing Items

A.

Adjourn Meeting

C. Heng made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
A. Kaynor seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 7:12 PM.
