Laila Minott provided an exciting update regarding our growing team and new additions for the upcoming school year:

Dean of Students: We are thrilled to welcome our new Dean of Students, who brings a strong background in mental health and student support. He is already making a fantastic impact, building strong connections with both our staff and students.

Athletic Department Leadership: To better support our student-athletes and programs, the Dean of Students role will no longer include Athletic Director duties. Instead, we have established a dynamic three-member staff team to collaboratively lead and elevate the athletic department.

New Teaching Staff: We are delighted to announce the hiring of two new international teachers who will be joining us on visas. Both bring exceptional experience, fresh perspectives, and a wealth of knowledge to our classrooms.

C.

Pre School Update

Laila Minott presented an update regarding the upcoming launch of the preschool program, confirming that it is scheduled to officially open this Monday.

During her presentation, she addressed an initial hurdle: the school recently learned it cannot accept child care vouchers immediately at launch. This unexpected delay left several registered families unable to attend as planned. However, Laila emphasized that administration is actively working through the approval process to accept vouchers as quickly as possible, ensuring that financial access will not remain a long-term barrier for local families.

To ensure a smooth transition and maintain strong instructional quality, the program will launch with two initial classes. Additional classrooms will be opened incrementally as enrollment numbers grow.

D.

J. Figueroa made a motion to Approve the new attendance policy for the 2026-2027 school year.

Laila Minott presented the newly revised Attendance Policy to the Board of Directors for comprehensive review. She outlined key updates to student attendance expectations, reporting procedures, and compliance tracking to support student engagement. Following the presentation, Ms. Minott requested that board members conduct a final review of the document and entertain a motion to formally vote on and approve the updated policy.

The board VOTED to approve the motion.
