Mrs. Torrence will be taking on a full time position at A.C.E. Academy as the SEL Coordinator/Behavior Specialist. We will lose her as a board member which requires us to on board a new board member, Potential new Board Member is Albert Anderson a very involved parent at A.C.E. Academy.
I am honored to serve on the school board and grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that has invested so much in me and my family. As a father, I understand the importance of providing every student with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to succeed. I bring a thoughtful and analytical approach to decision-making, always striving to do what is best for students, families, teachers, and the future of our schools. My educational journey began in Asheville, North Carolina, where I attended high school and developed a strong appreciation for learning, leadership, and community involvement.
My commitment to education is rooted in a genuine desire to make a positive difference. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies. My experiences in higher education broadened my perspective, strengthened my understanding of diverse communities, and reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education. Since 2016, I have also been an entrepreneur, building ventures that reflect my passion for leadership, innovation, and service. Throughout my professional and personal life, I have embraced the motto of Academics, Character, and Entrepreneurship, believing that these three pillars are essential to preparing young people for success in an ever-changing world.
I am known for bringing energy, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking to everything I do. Whether collaborating with parents, educators, business leaders, or community members, I focus on listening, building relationships, and finding meaningful solutions that help students thrive. Being engaged, approachable, and committed to helping others has always been important to me. As a school board member, I am excited to contribute fresh ideas, advocate for excellence, and work to ensure our schools remain places where every student can learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential.
