Motivated Youth Academy Board of Directors Manual Review
The Board Manual was reviewed, with attention drawn to the key revisions.
Assembly Bill 2158 requires that, effective January 1, 2025, all members of the governing boards of school districts and charter schools complete at least two hours of ethics training. This training focuses on government regulations, mandates, and ethical responsibilities pertinent to their roles. The purpose of this requirement is to enhance accountability and informed decision-making for the benefit of students, schools, and the broader community.
The training can be completed individually at the board member’s own pace or conducted by a legal agency offering structured sessions. It must include at least two hours of instruction, and participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion to confirm their compliance with the mandate.
