Call the Meeting to Order
Bob Carlson called a meeting of the Governance Committee Committee of Great Oaks Charter School - Bridgeport to order on Wednesday Apr 3, 2024 at 4:33 PM.

Approve Minutes
Bea Bagley made a motion to approve the minutes from GOBPT March Governance Committee Meeting on 03-13-24.
Corey Sneed seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

COO Report
L. Hubbard went over COO report.
- Our current enrollment of students is at 621 out of 661.
- Below are our continued recruitment efforts for students:
- Yard Signs
- Postcard mailings
- Hearst Media will do Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms.
- Raffle for free uniforms for families that post our yard signs.
- UI has begun construction. The school will speak to UI to let them know of our testing dates so they are aware and don't interfere with our internet like it did yesterday, April 2nd, 2024.
- OPS Manager, Mike Little, and COO will speak to the fire department and discuss what our school area of rescue is if our area is not accessible due to construction with UI.
- New storefront put into the high school, we have discussed doing the same thing for our Middle School area. See what our Security Grant will cover.
- Getting quotes from vendors
- Grant- Erate grant is submitted.

J. Scalice went over CEO report
J. Scalice also went over Eclipse plans for the school. There have been hands on activities and lesson plans for ELA, Science, Social Studies and Math that were given out to all teachers for their students that could enhance their plans.
