CEO Report
CEO, J. Scalice, went over CEO report.
MS and HS are off to incredible start. J. Scalice reports that one of our strong science teacher decided to go back to his field of work in environmental science. We had two science vacancies but thankfully the school was able to hire two science teachers. J. Scalice reports that two days before school starts the Teach For America director reached out to J. Scalice asking if we had a social studies position and that he is eligible to teach science. Apparently the district tin which he was hired, when he went on his first day, they told him they made a mistake. J. Scalice reports that one of the things we discussed in our board retreat. We posted a math interventionist person. We have not been able to get a qualified candidate. Both principals decided they wanted a science teacher instead. The TFA teacher became part of the science team. We are excited to have him and our TFA partnership.
J. Scalice reports significant changes to improvement plans and they also allign with CN plan. J. Scalice discussed with the committee that if they take a look at his end of year summary, one of the main things discussed in system analysis of Trico. Are we legally allowed to do it, can we logistical sustain to do it and is it aligned?
