B. Call the Meeting to Order

M. Wills Brown called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Simple Vue Academy to order on Wednesday Oct 1, 2025 at 12:22 PM.

C. Approve Minutes

C. Henderson made a motion to approve the minutes from SVA Governance Committee on 09-03-25.

L. Curry seconded the motion.

The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Governance

A. Board Recruitment Update

The Committee will meet on Friday, October 3, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. to review board candidate applications. Candidate interviews will be conducted via Zoom,

B. CSP Monitoring Feedback

The Committee reviewed the CSP grant monitoring results and discussed feedback received. Members agreed to make necessary policy updates and develop a corrective action plan to address all findings by the compliance deadline on October 14, 2025. A shared working document will be used to coordinate edits and ensure timely submission.

C. Transportation & Landlord Discussion

The Committee discussed a transportation-related grievance involving a contracted bus service. The issue has since been escalated to the bus company owner and legal representatives for resolution. The Committee agreed to follow up with the commission to confirm that the matter is being addressed.
