Call the Meeting to Order

T. D'Hulst called a meeting of the board of directors of Ogden Preparatory Academy to order on Tuesday Jul 2, 2019 at 2:06 PM.

Approve Minutes

S. Zwygart made a motion to approve minutes from the OPA June Board Meeting on 06-12-19 OPA June Board Meeting on 06-12-19.
N. Bowsher seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Finance

A.

Math Curriculum

Stephanie Mathers reviewed our need for a Math Curriculum.
Our Math Specialist, Cami Parry, has researched math curricula and recommended moving 6-9 grades to Reveal Math.
It is a 5 year commitment. It has videos in English and Spanish for all lessons.
We negotiated a 20% discount. 
Cost was included in the FY20 budget.
N. Bowsher made a motion to approve the purchase of the $49,252.21 for the new math program.
S. Shupe seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

B.

Teacher and Staff Professional Development Platform

Teryl explained our desire to move our professional development to an online/hybrid structure.
We looked for something to provide more professional development to paraprofessionals. We can make specific assignments for individuals as well as whole group.
We determined we would like to purchase for the whole school.
Part of the Digital Teaching and Learning. 
Master Teacher platform; $8,396 for whole school.
Courses can be assigned based on need.
 
W. Davis made a motion to approve purchase Master Teacher for $8,396.
S. Zwygart seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
