We contract with Something to Talk About for providing Speech services to our students on IEPs for Speech.

They are great to work with and do a fantastic job. Our caseload increases about 20 students/year. 

Every 10 students represents about another day/week for a Speech Language Pathologist.

 

It is proposed that the Board approve the FY26 Contract between Something To Talk About and Ogden Preparatory Academy.

The OPA School Plan includes strengthening teacher efficacy in Academic Language Learning and Collaborative structures as well as increasing the rigor in our classroom instruction. Ogden City School District has contracted with AVID to bring an AVID Regional Path Training to Ogden. Because the training is in Ogden, we only have to pay for the registration costs. 

Since this training aligns with our School Plan, we plan to use CSI funds to cover the expense. 

 

It is proposed that the Board approve $30,825 to send 45 educators to one of two path trainings: Academic Language and Literacy or Creating Engaging and Rigorous Classrooms.
