Call the Meeting to Order
M. Snyder called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Brighter Choice Charter Schools to order on Thursday Jun 8, 2023 at 9:02 AM.

Approve Minutes
T. Hanmer made a motion to approve the minutes from Governance Committee Meeting on 05-04-23.
R. McLaughlin seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Food Service Bid Update
L. Licygiewicz reported that they received two bids for food service and the winning bid is going to A'viands.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 9:21 AM.

K. Ford updated the board on enrollment for the current year (including 2 family moves) and pending for the coming year. For the coming year, the Girls' school is in a very good place, especially K.
K. Ford reported that the Girls' met their reading goals for proficiency in i-ready assessments. In this cycle K,1,2 also took the i-ready and the trends look positive.
Summer academic programs invitations to scholars went out. There are 3 positions that need to be filled.
K. Ford reported on disciplinary action taken in response to an incident at school.
She reported on events at the school to celebrate the end of the year as well as COVID infection numbers that remain low.
