Approval bumped to next month's meeting

Colleen Driggs reported on the Girls school report that included enrollment, both overall and Specials populations. A significant enrollment dip has occurred in K and the committee discussed reasons and possible ways to address this issue and that conversation will continue. K Ford also reported on staffing updates and events. 

C. Driggs reported on George Borum’s September update that included enrollment, both general and specials populations. Budgeted 238 and now 225 scholars despite aggressive efforts during the summer, which will continue. G. Borum reported on staffing updates, current openings, priority on keeping teachers in the classroom. He described instructional focus of PD and about the September events. 

The committee also discussed increasing visibility including the physical building. Ms. Morrison will investigate ways to increase the visibility and vibrancy of signage as well as a visit from the mayor or other elected official.
