Call the Meeting to Order
Z. Nelson called a meeting of the board of trustees of Brighter Choice Charter Schools to order on Thursday Apr 16, 2026 at 9:32 AM.

Approve Minutes
N. Velilla made a motion to approve the minutes from Board Meeting on 03-12-26.
T. Hanmer seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Tabled until May.
III. Other Business
A.
The Board will enter executive session to discuss matters of personnel.
N. Velilla made a motion to enter executive session.
T. Hanmer seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
T. Hanmer made a motion to exit executive session.
N. Velilla seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 9:55 AM.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
T. Hanmer reported that the committee heard from the girls school and the Boys school and learned that enrollment is on track for both schools and discussed initiatives to encourage families to re-register. The committee was elated to hear that the 5-year renewal was approved by the Board of Regents. The Committee heard from Luke Licygiewicz about banking, summer camp, and janitorial bids. The Committee tabled the discussion about remote board meetings.
