Leslie S. Cowell, Ph.D., is a distinguished educator and administrator with extensive experience in elementary and reading education. Currently serving as Dean at Lipscomb University's College of Education in Nashville, TN, Dr. Cowell oversees faculty, accreditation, curriculum, and program development. She holds a Ph.D. in Elementary Education from Auburn University and advanced degrees in Urban Education and Conflict Management. With a career spanning roles from classroom teacher to academic director and dean, Dr. Cowell has led initiatives in early childhood education and teacher preparation, particularly focusing on literacy, curriculum design, and educational technology.
