We seek to sustain an educational community where an emphasis on academic excellence is complemented by our concern for each learner’s personal growth and intellectual, aesthetic, and psychological development. The curriculum is developmentally responsive – actively engaging students in learning skills in context, integrative – directing students to connect learning to daily lives, and exploratory – enabling students to discover their abilities, interests, learning styles, and ways that they can make contributions to society.

If anyone needs special assistance to participate in the public input session, every effort will be made to provide an appropriate accommodation. When requesting accommodations for public input, please allow no less than 1 business day notice prior to the scheduled meeting.

 

Specific issues about a particular student should only be addressed to the school’s Director of Student Services, rather than the Board of Directors.

 

All public comments will be taken under advisement by the Board, but will not elicit a written or spoken response. The names of persons providing public comment and a brief summary of topics or input will be included in the meeting minutes published. A response will be provided to the stakeholder within seven (7) days.

This agreement has been discussed and revised two times since May to ensure clarity on both sides. 

 

Highlights added: 

Please note some of the updates that were made:

  • Increased social media posts to "up to four (4) in-feed posts per week.
  • Included languages that Parker Gene Creative will be responsible for day-to-day school activities and athletics but the school would be responsible for providing the content.
  • Added the SCHS Speakers Series and the SCHS Expansion Project events to the Events section of the scope of work.
  • Revised the language regarding the public facing school calendar per our conversation today. 


The leadership team approves of these amendments and services for the 2024-2025 year. It is in our budget as well.

10 Smolian Circle (Painting interior upstairs/downstairs) - Deposit check should be sent this week. Waiting on scheduling from Carlos Painting Services after his receipt of deposit.

 

30 Smolian Circle (Floors refinished downstairs and stairwell) - Deposit check has been sent. Waiting on scheduling from Seashore Floors.

 

42 Smolian Circle (Replace/Upgrade water fountain on second floor) - Signed proposal has been sent to Mr. Appliance. Waiting for a reply.

 

I have patching/repairing sheetrock getting ready for painting.

 

We did seem to be hit by lightning last week. So far we have found that it fried 2 of the power supplies to doors (front entry into bottom floor of 2nd building and back entry into 1st building off 2nd floor). Warren Doors came out and fixed power supplies, but the 1st building is offline, so we cannot update codes. 

 

I have put in a ticket with them to come back out and fix this issue. Also had issues in front office with internet, phones, etc, but Russell's guys came out and reset a switch and seemed to fix all of those issues.
