We seek to sustain an educational community where an emphasis on academic excellence is complemented by our concern for each learner’s personal growth and intellectual, aesthetic, and psychological development. The curriculum is developmentally responsive – actively engaging students in learning skills in context, integrative – directing students to connect learning to daily lives, and exploratory – enabling students to discover their abilities, interests, learning styles, and ways that they can make contributions to society.

Information on procedures for public comment can be found at https://www.seasideschools.net/domain/35.

If anyone needs special assistance to participate in the public input session, every effort will be made to provide an appropriate accommodation. When requesting accommodations for public input, please allow no less than 1 business day notice prior to the scheduled meeting.

Specific issues about a particular student should only be addressed to the school’s Director of Student Services, rather than the Board of Directors.

Thank you for your interest in joining the Seaside School Inc. Board of Directors. As we transition towards a more strategic board, we are searching for individuals who don't just possess titles, but those who bring particular skill sets, passion, and dedication to help steer our school to greater heights.

As a Board of Director, you'll be intricately involved in shaping strategic directions for the school. This encompasses activities such as contributing to the expansion of our high school program with Northeast Florida State College, aiding in the successful fruition of a performance arts center in collaboration with Seaside, FL leadership, assisting with fundraising efforts, and championing elite educational standards as a public charter school within the Walton County School District system.

We believe that a robust board is one that encompasses a diverse range of expertise. While it may be customary in some institutions to explicitly seek out professionals from specific fields, we are most focused on the core skills and contributions you can offer. Whether that's legal acumen, financial oversight, marketing prowess, HR expertise, or any other specialty, what matters most is your ability to leverage those skills to benefit the Seaside School community.

Annually, The Seaside School, Inc. welcomes applications from local community members eager to serve on our Board of Directors. The selection process, conducted by the current Board of Directors, is meticulous and thorough, underscoring our commitment to ensuring the board's competence and diversity. To be considered, we ask that you complete the online application. For those without computer access, appointments can be scheduled at either the Seaside Neighborhood School campus or Seacoast Collegiate High School campus to complete the application.

In addition to professional expertise, we place high importance on an applicant's familiarity with and commitment to our school. Previous involvement—whether through participation in standing committees, attendance at our monthly meetings, mentorship programs, and/or support for Seaside School Foundation events—speaks volumes about your dedication and will be considered favorably.

Our mission at The Seaside School, Inc. is to champion academic excellence while nurturing each student's holistic development. As we seek to elevate our institution and enhance the quality of education we offer, we look forward to the fresh perspectives, innovative strategies, and steadfast commitment that new board members will bring.
